From the brothers Lee "Bright aroma of morello cherries on the nose, loads of red fruits but also darker plummy and earthy aromas, some oak, spice and a little gamey, meaty character. Tremendous vigour and concentration. Structure is medium to full bodied for pinot with moderate alcohol at 13.5% and plenty of supple tannins giving power and length.
2017 was a fairly cool summer; very long ripening season, well-suited to our pinot vineyards located 'up-the-hill’ with very low yields. The 2017 reds show striking depth and structure, a lovely vintage for Foxeys.''
